400g Rigatoni, Penne, or Spaghetti

2 tbsp Spicy or sweet Harissa paste

1.5 tbsp White or yellow Miso paste

3 tbsp Olive oil (or plant-based butter)

4 cloves Garlic, finely minced

1 tbsp Tomato paste

1 cup (240ml) Coconut cream or heavy cooking cream

3.5 cups (850ml) Boiling water or vegetable broth

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish: Fresh scallions, toasted sesame seeds, or grated parmesan

Base: Heat olive oil in a deep pan. Add garlic, harissa, and tomato paste; sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Flavor Emulsion: Whisk in white miso paste and coconut cream (or heavy cream) until smooth and glossy.

Combine & Cook: Add dry, uncooked pasta directly to the pot. Pour in boiling water/broth and season with salt and pepper.

Simmer: Stir constantly over medium heat for 10–12 minutes as the starch creates a rich, creamy sauce coating each pasta piece.

Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped scallions or sesame seeds and serve piping hot.
